Porter’s Battery

(Membership Requirements)

1.     All new members enlisted or otherwise, shall fill out the appropriate paperwork for unit records. This is a general form with name, age, address, phone number, email address, occupation, emergency contact information, and any health issues. Also a Release from Liability form must be signed. One individual can sign a blanket Release from Liability form for their entire family.

2.     Dues are currently $5 per individual age 16 and over.  Families are $5 for the first individual and $1 extra per family member age 16 and over.  These dues are to be paid upon filling out the paperwork.

3.     All members are encouraged to attend all of our events.  Life happens and this is always taken into consideration. To stay on the active roster one must attend at least three (3) events per year. When deciding which events to attend we encourage attending our Maximum Effort events, especially if you are a cannoneer.

4.     Officers and NCOs are held to a higher standard as far as attendance is concerned. The aforementioned, to keep their rank, must attend at least six (6) events per year. As always we encourage putting our Maximum Effort events as a number one priority.

5.     Members who have not attended the minimum number of events will be deemed inactive and removed from the active roster and website. Officers who have not attended the minimum number of events will have their rank removed and also be deemed inactive and removed from the active roster and website.

6.     Each paid active member has one (1) vote in all unit business.
