There are a few things that should be observed while we're around camp. Those who are new to reenacting may or may not be aware of certain things.

  • Do not enter the tent of another without first getting permission.
  • Ask permission before using anything that belongs to someone else.
  • When the flaps of any tent are tied it is the same as a locked door on your home. This is something that needs to be stressed to visitors in our camp.
  • If you borrow something from someone in camp return it when you are finished with it or before they leave the event.
  • Clean up after yourself. Throw away all trash.
  • Do not burn anything in the campfire except firewood and paper. Do not put food scraps into the campfire.
  • Parents of the children within our organization are solely responsible for them at all times. We can all assure that when they're in our presence that they are safe and are not doing things that could potentially harm them.
  • No modern items are to be visible within our camp. Those who are veterans of reenacting know how to "disguise" modern items. If our new folks or our children are not sure they should asks.
  • Military decorum is something we all must work on in camp and upon the field of battle.
  • Enlisted soldiers must acquire persmission from and NCO to converse with the Captain or 1st Lt.
  • Enlisted soldiers must acquire permission from the Aide-de-Camp or another NCO is his absence to converse with the Staff Adjutant.
  • When visitors/spectators and/or high ranking officers are present military decorum must be recognized.
  • FYI:  In our off hours around the campfire military decorum can be relaxed.
  • On Sunday mornings, generally around 10:00am, most events have a non-denominational worship service. We do have our own Chaplain who conducts a worship service in camp. Attending these services are strictly up to each individual and is not mandatory. We do asks that anyone not attending be courteous by not interrupting these services.
  • The field desk of any officer is strictly off limits unless the officer gives an individual permission to do so.
